Dr Tim Rumball FAFOEM

Tim Rumball

Tim is the Occupational Physician for Meridian Energy and Christchurch Engine Centre. He has previously worked for the Royal New Zealand Navy, Pacific Steel (part of Fletcher Steel), Sanitarium Health Food Company, Auckland District Health Board, Waitemata District Health Board, and Air New Zealand. He is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational Medicine with the University of Otago (Wellington). He is also a Class 1 Medical Examiner, allowing him to perform and assess all classes of CAA regulatory medicals.


Dr Sara Souter FAFOEM

Sara Souter

Sara is currently working primarily at Rumball Souter Floyd rooms, involved in a range of Occupational Medical work. She has a strong interest in Aviation Medicine and has 10 years experience in the industry including medical retrieval, medical assistance and more recently within Air New Zealand’s medical department and as company doctor for the Christchurch Engine Centre. Sara is involved as a medical specialist in Concussion Services for early intervention mild TBI assessments. Sara is a Class 1 Medical Examiner for CAA and a CASA DAME.


Dr Mark Floyd FAFOEM, MFOM(RCPI)

Mark Floyd

Mark is the company Occupational Physician for Solid Energy, Department of Conservation, and Kiwirail. He is Senior Lecturer for the University of Otago in Occupational Medicine. Mark has interests in occupational lung disease. Mark is the company cyclist and was part of the RSF sponsored team winning 3rd place in “Round the Vines” 2009.


Dr Chris Rumball MBChB, PhD, MPhil (Cantab)

Chris Rumball is a Registrar on the Occupational & Environmental Medicine training program, and provides occupational medicine services to Solid Energy, Landcare Research, Living Earth and Kiwirail, as well as running monthly West Coast clinics.  He also has a background in biomedical business and research, and has provided research consulting services to the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority.


Dr James Foulds  MBChB, FRANZCP

James is a Consultant Psychiatrist who often works with RSF and Associates. He also holds positions with the University of Otago and the Christchurch and West Coast District Health Boards. James completed his specialist training in Melbourne in 2006 and returned to Christchurch in 2008. Apart from his clinical work, he is also involved with teaching in addiction medicine and research into depression associated with alcoholism.
